Club Meetings

The Oakland Park Kiwanis Club takes great pride in conducting fun filled meetings that combine the business of community service with camaraderie. Meetings are conducted in an informal atmosphere encouraging participation by all members. Guests are invited to join in the fun. We strive to make every guest feel at home. The meetings start at 7:30 AM and end no later than 8:30 AM. The meetings are structured as follows:

  • Meeting opening includes non-denominational prayer, pledge of allegiance and singing of God Bless America
  • Business portion that includes reports on past projects, upcoming projects, division news club administrative matters and committee reports
  • Introduction of guests and 50/50 drawing (At any time during this portion of the meeting members are encouraged to present personal information that may be of interest to the club.)
  • Speaker- The club has one of the best speakers programs in the State. We have speakers from the non-profit and business world every week except for those meetings reserved for education or designated as a social meeting.
